SIRCA III Collaboration Workshop 20160602

———–

In continuation to the SIRCA III programme where theoretical frameworks and white papers were formed in Phase I, the programme calls on project teams to empirically test these theoretical frameworks. This addresses the second objective of SIRCA: “interrogating, validating and testing emergent theoretical frameworks with empirical evidence”, each team was represented by at least one member at the collaboration workshop in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA which happened from 1st to 2nd June 2016. For the workshop, SIRCA hopes to encourage collaboration and develop combined research design between the theoretical and empirical teams, achieve consensus and generate discussion, building upon the concept of openness within the SIRCA programme.

Programme can be found here.

Further, SIRCA held its open session at ICTD 2016, hosted at the University of Michigan. The open session featured an introduction of the SIRCA III programme, as well as, provided interested attendees with useful insights and updates on current projects’ progress during the break-out session – offering an opportunity to collaborate via the open call for proposals for book publication on Open Development. More information on the open call can be found here.
