Rahul De (Dr.)

Dr. Rahul De is Hewlett-Packard Chair Professor in ICT for Sustainable Economic Development at IIM Bangalore, Quantitative Methods and Information Systems Area. He started his career as a consultant with S. B. Billimoria & Co. Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. He then went on to pursue his Ph.D. at J.M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Management Information Systems/Artificial Intelligence. His research interests include ICT for Development, particular design and assessment of e-Government systems, multi-agent modelling and open source systems. In 2007, he was awarded The Rene Wagenaar Outstanding Paper Award for the most compelling research by the European e-Government Society.
