Dr. Maria Soledad Ramirez Montoya
Dr. Maria Soledad Ramirez-Montoya, PhD. (Graduate School of Education, Tecnológico de Monterrey-ITESM-) studied Preschool Education at the Normal School of Sonora and a Bachelor of Education Science in the Technological Institute of Sonora. With the support of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Ministry of Education of Sonora, she obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Doctorates in Education and Educational Psychology: Curriculum and Instruction, at the University of Salamanca (Spain). Her lines of research are instructional strategies, technology resources for education and training of educational researchers. She has published six books and over 30 articles in refereed journals which address issues of educational innovation, research, technological resources and academic improvement. She is currently professor at the Graduate School of Education of the Tecnológico de Monterrey in the master’s and doctoral programs, where she lectures on teaching models and strategies, educational demands of the knowledge society; she also does research to improve educational practices and development of educational technology projects. She is director of the Research Chair of Innovation in Technology and Education (CIITE). She is a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico and participates in the Network of Graduate Studies in Education at the Mexican Council for Educational Research (COMIE), the Research Network of Educational Research (REDIIE), is President of Applications and Allocation Committee Funds at the University Corporation for Development of Internet (CUDI) in Mexico and main researcher of the Open Latin-American Community Regional about Social and Educational Research (CLARISE)
